AMS（Automatic Material System）
AMS（Automatic Material System）は、Bambu Labが開発したインテリジェントなマルチマテリアルフィーダーです。フィラメントセンサー、RFIDリーダー、モーター駆動の巻き戻しローラーを備え、1回の印刷ジョブ中にユニットごとに最大4スプール（積み重ねて最大16色）を自動で切り替えます。
AMSによる多色印刷はパージ廃棄物を増やします。これはモデルではなくパージタワーに押し出されるフィラメントです。この廃棄物はモデル自体と同じグラム単価で課金され、さらに余分な印刷時間がかかります。

モデルが色を切り替えるとき、プリンターは現在のフィラメントをホットエンドで切断し、AMSに巻き戻し、新しい色のフィラメントをPTFEチューブに送り込み、残った色をパージシュート（「ポップ」）へ排出し、プライムタワーでノズルをプライミングして、次の色の層の印刷を再開します。
フィラメント適合性と乾燥剤エンクロージャー
AMSは湿度監視機能付きの気密ドライボックスも兼ねています。PLA、PETG、ABS、PCなど標準的な硬質フィラメントは難なく扱えますが、柔軟なTPUは供給詰まりを防ぐため、通常は外部スプールホルダーから直接供給します。
多色の廃棄物とコスト計算
