Nylon (Polyamide, PA) is a heavy-duty synthetic polymer renowned in engineering and industrial manufacturing for its superior toughness, low friction coefficient, high resistance to wear and abrasion, and elastic flexibility under extreme mechanical loads.

Hygroscopic Challenges & High Temp Requirements

Nylon is extremely hygroscopic, absorbing airborne moisture within minutes. It must be dried thoroughly at 75°C–85°C and printed directly from an airtight dry box using a 260°C–290°C all-metal hotend and a specialized Garolite/Magigoo build plate.
