PETG Filament
PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol-modified) is an industrial and consumer 3D printing thermoplastic. It combines the ease of printing and low odor of PLA with the high impact strength, chemical resistance, and heat tolerance (up to ~75°C) of ABS.

Printing Parameters & Stringing Mitigation
PETG prints best at hotend temperatures of 230°C–250°C and bed temperatures of 70°C–80°C. Because PETG is hygroscopic (absorbs ambient moisture), printing wet PETG causes severe stringing and bubbling, requiring filament drying before long runs.

PETG raw filament generally costs $2 to $5 more per kilogram than basic PLA, and its slower print speeds (due to higher viscosity) require slight upward adjustments in hourly machine rate estimates.
