Resin 3D printing (encompassing SLA, MSLA, and DLP technologies) is an additive manufacturing method where a light source (laser or high-resolution LCD screen) cures liquid photopolymer resin into solid plastic layer by layer inside a vat.

FDM vs Resin Comparison

While FDM printing uses extruded plastic filaments suitable for functional, structural parts, resin printing achieves microscopic resolutions (down to 18–35 microns), making it the gold standard for tabletop miniatures, dental aligners, and detailed jewelry casting.
