Why Calculate Prices for Whole Collections?
3D printing creators often package multi-part projects (such as board game inserts, modular desk organizers, action figures, or cosplay armor sets) into MakerWorld Collections. Calculating costs model-by-model individually is time-consuming and prone to pricing errors.

Step-by-Step: Estimating a MakerWorld Collection
Copy the MakerWorld Collection URL
Navigate to MakerWorld and copy the full URL of any public collection. Collection links contain /collections/ followed by a numerical ID (e.g. https://makerworld.com/en/collections/27910720-large-prints).
Paste URL into the Cost Estimator
Paste the link into the URL input field on the homepage and click Calculate Cost.
Collection Preview & Credit Confirmation
Before running any full calculations or deducting credits, a Collection Confirmation Modal pops up. It previews:
- Collection Name & Creator
- Total Model Count (e.g., 8 models)
- Required Credits (1 credit per model in the collection)
- Your Available Account Credits
Review the credit requirements and click Confirm & Calculate All to proceed.
Review Batch Estimates & Select Models
The estimator fetches specs for every model in parallel. You will see individual cost badges for each design and a batch total summary. You can check or uncheck specific models in the collection list to instantly recalculate batch pricing.
Save & View in History
Every collection estimate is automatically saved to your History Page under a special COLLECTION badge. You can expand the item anytime to inspect contained models or click Recalculate to refresh calculations.
Collection Pricing Formula
The total batch price for a collection is calculated as:
